Remember: Reduce then Produce
The next step is to do a free site survey of your property. Since every property is unique, we need to factor location, roof type and material, square footage facing South, shading potential, max sunlight hours and condition of dwelling’s electrical system. Armed with this information we can give you an accurate price quote on the size and type of system to meet your needs.
After conducting a site-survey, most folks find that putting up a solar array is surprisingly affordable. Another benefit is that they don’t have to install the whole system at once. Since our technology is “Plug and Play” we can add some panels now, then more at a later date. This helps financially by not having to pay for a complete system all at once, but instead expense it out over several years. Hawaii Energy Smart will be happy to discuss the best and most affordable energy solution for your needs, after conducting a free site-survey.
One Question that always comes up is: “Will I be better off waiting another year or so when the solar panels are cheaper and the technology is better?” This is a great question. Many of us remember what it was like buying a computer when they first came out. Right after you purchased it - there was already a better, faster and cheaper model for sale. Who wants to spend good money now, when they can get something better for less by waiting? The good news is that the technology is here now! And with the current Federal and State credits for 2010, this is the BEST time to buy! Many traditional string inverters are being replaced by more efficient micro-inverters, which have better power management, energy harvest and efficiency. Hawaii Energy Smart uses Enphase micro-inverters wherever possible.
